BroadVision Inc. , a provider of enterprise self-service applications, today announced that its ASP partner Frontera Corp. recently went live with a BroadVision-powered, e-business solution for custom nutrition program provider, Custom Nutrition Services (CNS).

Using BroadVision’s suite of applications Frontera has created the first BroadVision-powered e-commerce system allowing CNS to provide private label and custom branded nutritional support programs and personalized health content to physicians, consumers and employers.

Through customizing BroadVision One-To-One, Enterprise and Retail Commerce applications CNS can aggregate content across multiple partner sites. Each partner site requires extensive content management for personalized health news, articles and recipes.

Tim Cahill, CEO of Frontera explains this was achieved using various tools from the BroadVision application suite including BroadVision Command Center, Design Center and Publishing Center.

“In doing so, the application we created for CNS was completed on schedule in 90 days and using templates developed to minimize deployment time, a second branded site was ready 15 days later,” he says.

Frontera reports that its ASP implementation of BroadVision applications has resulted in cost savings for CNS, including a 90 percent savings in professional services, 50 percent savings in hardware and hosting fees and 22 percent savings in software license fees over the typical cost of ownership for a sophisticated customer-facing site.

“Frontera’s ASP implementations offer companies like Custom Nutrition Services a cost-effective and quick time-to-market way to realize the benefits of our enterprise self-service applications,” says Chris Grejtak, chief marketing officer for BroadVision.
