iBEAM Broadcasting Corp.
Tuesday announced a partnership with Bloomberg Interactive Television
to transmit Bloomberg reports and live on-demand news.

The announcement was made Tuesday at ISPCON Spring 99

End-users that connect through an Internet service provider that has
deployed iBEAM MaxCaster services will be able to utilize the webcast
from free backbone congestion that currently plagues traditional
Internet webcasts.

“We are excited to be carrying Bloomberg content,” said Peter Desnoes,
CEO of iBEAM. “Many of the users that access the iBEAM Network are
business professionals with high speed connections, and they need the
Bloomberg Interactive TV feed on their computer desktop at all times.
The satellite broadcast of the iBEAM Network will always be there,
even during event-driven spikes in Internet usage.”
