Interliant Inc. (Nasdaq:INIT) today announced its first customer for PeopleSoft’s Version 8 web-based solutions. InterGen, an international power-generation firm, signed a five-year agreement for Interliant’s INIT HR solution, which provides hosted access to PeopleSoft’s Internet-based HRMS application.
Interliant also will provide business process outsourcing, specifically payroll and payroll tax processing services, for InterGen’s U.S. employees. InterGen selected Interliant because of its experience with the PeopleSoft HRMS application in the manufacturing market, its global presence and its ability to meet a go-live date of January 1st, 2001.
“Interliant was definitely in a go-ready state for hosting Version 8, and they have the PeopleSoft HRMS, Business Processing, implementation and hosting experience that will help get us up and running in 90 days,” said Donald Purnell, director of HR for InterGen. “Additionally, it was important to us to be able to add newly acquired companies easily into our payroll and HR systems, which Interliant’s hosting model makes possible. The fact that Interliant owns its own data centers was another plus, providing an increased sense of security for us.”
Interliant’s INIT Solutions Suite includes messaging and knowledge management, security, e-commerce, customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning, distributed learning, web-site hosting and web-based rental applications.
Interliant retooled its offerings in September to bring all of its offerings into a single, easy to understand suite of services. Using its INIT stock ticker as a guide, the suite is comprised of INIT HR, INIT Financials, INIT Host, INIT Collaboration, INIT CRM, INIT Commerce, INIT Secure and INIT Services.
