MRO Talks Up Spokesman

MRO Software, a Bedford, Mass., provider of collaboration applications, has hired
Vaughn F. Harring, formerly with Genuity, as director of public relations.

He will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s media relations and corporate communications strategy. Additionally, he will manage investor
relations initiatives.

Harring has 12 years of experience in the field. Most recently, he held management positions at Genuity and its predecessors GTE Internetworking and BBN Corp.
At Genuity, he lead communications efforts associated with the company’s public offering and launch.

“Vaughn is a trusted spokesperson to the technology and business press, as well as with the analyst community,” said Rob Bloom, an MRO vice president.
“We look forward to Vaughn increasing MRO Software’s visibility and awareness with the media and market influencers.”

MRO’s software is used by 8,000 organizations in 103 countries. It has more than 1,000 employees and sells directly and through international distributors.
