Australian ASP aggregator Peakhour has selected the XevoWorks service management automation solution from Marlboro, Mass.-based Infrastructure ISV Xevo Corp. to drive its international expansion plans.

XevoWorks will play an essential role in helping Peakhour, a wholesaler of online solutions and services to Global 1000 companies and their SME-customers, roll out the next generation of its ASPShuttle platform, which will allow Peakhour’s Global 1000 service provider customers to offer hosted application services to their SME customers.

“This is fundamental to simplify management effort and thus increase efficiency and profitability for the customer. By providing this service management capability XevoWorks can allow us to manage increased industry demand for hosted solutions from Microsoft, Great Plains and Onyx,” said David Harrington, Peakhour’s founder and CEO.

Harrington said that in order to meet global demand, Peakhour’s next-generation platform will embrace new state-of-the-art technologies such as XevoWorks, selected for its capability to automate existing manual operations and tightly control authentication and usage for accurate billing and management.

Peakhour selected XevoWorks, an XML-based service management solution that provides application provisioning, metering and packaging designed to help xSPs accelerate revenue streams, lower costs and reduce staffing requirements when hosting applications.

“Xevo is excited to be an instrumental part of Peakhour’s plan to provide its Global 1000 enterprise customers with the automation necessary to rapidly implement, deploy and manage in-demand applications,” said Xevo Chairman and CEO Hal Chapel. “The SME customers of these Global 1000 enterprises rely on hosted applications, including Microsoft Exchange solutions, to both manage and grow their own businesses.”

Peakhour, headquartered in Sydney, Australia, was founded in 1999 by Australian Internet and David Harrington. It is one of the first Australian companies to provide small and medium business with solutions through a business applications portal. Peakhour has partnered with world class technology, solutions and service providers to assist large enterprises to launch their own branded ASP solutions with Peakhour’s ASPShuttle platform.

Headquartered in Marlborough, Mass., Xevo is a private, venture-funded company with offices in Europe. Its investors include Cisco Systems, KPMG Consulting and Portal Software in addition to top venture capital firms.
