theglobe.com, Road Runner Offer High-Speed Fun and Games

High-speed cable Internet service Road Runner this week announced a content agreement with community site theglobe.com.

Terms of the one-year agreement call for Road Runner to syndicate game content from theglobe.com’s newly acquired Happy Puppy and Kids Domain site in the US and Games Domain in the UK. Links to theglobe.com’s site will be directed from a co-branded game site found at Road Runner’s portal.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bryan Wiener, director of business development for theglobe.com, said that high-speed subscribers can use its speedy connections to get the best quality games online.

“This agreement extends theglobe.com’s brand and services to a new wave of Internet users who are enjoying high-speed online access to the Internet,” said Wiener. “Road Runner’s subscribers will have the opportunity to leverage the speed for accessing premiere gaming news, reviews and demo downloads provided by theglobe.com.”

“We’re pleased to present theglobe.com’s top-rated gaming content to our growing subscriber base,” said Rebecca Paoletti, Director of Programming, Road Runner. “It is this type of exciting multimedia content that builds on our broadband delivery platform for an ultimate gaming experience.”
