Trellix Taps Hosting Honcho

Trellix, a Concord, Mass., maker of Web site publishing software, has named Dave Owczarek vice president of
operations to lead its managed hosting services business.

Most recently, Owczarek was vice president of engineering at Interliant. There, he directing the activities of three departments focused on hosting platforms, systems
management and networking.

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with an extremely knowledgeable team to continue the evolution of the most complete, customizable private-label Web site
publishing and hosting solution available,” Owczarek said.

In the past year, Trellix’s hosting business has grown rapidly, adding customers such as About, McGraw-Hill and Terra Lycos. Millions of Web sites have been built
through Trellix’s dozens of private-label partners, including hundreds of thousands of small business and entrepreneurial sites.

Trellix was founded by Dan Bricklin (inventor of spreadsheet software) in 1995 and is privately held.
