webMethods Establishes Sales Operations in Brussels

webMethods, Inc. has opened a new sales office in Brussels, allowing webMethods to expand its presence in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). The opening coincides with the appointment of Jean-Michel Van Lippevelde as sales manager, Belux.


Van Lippevelde will be responsible for managing webMethods’ sales operations in Belgium and Luxembourg and targeting Global 2000 companies in the manufacturing, telecommunications, process industries and financial services markets. In addition, Van Lippevelde will act as the primary contact for existing webMethods customers in the region, including Deceuninck, Solvay, Telenet and Transwide.


Van Lippevelde brings to the Fairfax, Va.-based webMethods several years of sales experience for industry leaders such as Tivoli and Computer Associates. In addition, he has entrepreneurial experience as the founder of start-up companies such as Mac Express and Lisam Systems.


The Brussels sales office is webMethods’ ninth in EMEA. The company also has offices located in Amsterdam, Hilversum, Paris, London, Reading, Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich. In addition, webMethods has developed partnerships with a network of distributors in Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
