Xevo Sets Up Shop in Europe

Marlborough, Mass-based infrastructure ASP Xevo Corporation today announced its international expansion with the opening of a European subsidiary located in Sophia Antipolis, France, to support ASPs in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Additionally, Pascal Paccaud, a former Shiva and Intel vice president, recently joined Xevo as VP of EMEA to lead Xevo’s European-based operations.

“By expanding into the European ASP market we will gain a better insight to the challenges faced by international ASPs, bringing us closer to our ultimate goal of supporting the development of scalable worldwide ASP business models,” said Paccaud. “Also, Xevo’s proximity to locally based affiliate partners including Cisco and Compaq will enable us to quickly build a successful presence in the region.”

Xevo opened its European subsidiary in direct response to growing market opportunity. It has staffed this office with local business development, product development and engineering professionals, who will provide deployment management, support and consulting for ASP Workbench, Xevo’s ASP service management platform which enables automatic user provisioning, application metering, multiple pricing model options and flexible, scalable service packaging.

Pascal Paccaud has more than 14 years experience managing international operations including sales, professional services and engineering. He previously served as vice president of Shiva/Intel Service Provider Group where his team designed, sold and supported remote access and VPN solutions to operators such as Deutsche Telekom, SwissCom, Siris and others. Previously, Paccaud was the lead consultant for Wellfleet EMEA backbone router operations and supported sales efforts to major European customers such as Swissbank, British Gas, SE Banken and other leading companies. Paccaud received his M.S. in computer systems engineering from the University of Lyon, France.
