Panda Security today announced a full suite of new products to deliver e-mail protection, Web protection, and endpoint protection. “We are releasing new versions of the entire product portfolio to align our products with our technology vision,” Josu Franco, Panda Security corporate customer unit director, told InternetNews.com.

Two of the products are SaaS offerings. Panda Managed Email Protection and (PMEP) and Panda Managed Office Protection (PMOP) offer e-mail and endpoint security. The Panda GateDefender appliance offers Web protections.

“SaaS cannot protect Web traffic. We are not there yet,” Franco said.

Panda Security appliances remain available, and the company still earns more revenue from traditional software offerings than from SaaS, according to Franco.

He added that SaaS is the future for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and for large but distributed enterprises that have many small ofices. “We see the biggest growth in SaaS,” he said. “It is simple to use, with a management console that can be anywhere.”
