After pushing out what seemed to be a minor, and unplanned, update to its Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system, Microsoft found itself waist-deep in user complaints.
And while that original issue appears largely resolved, Microsoft has hit another snag with its mobile OS update.
A small portion of users with Samsung devices have been complaining on Microsoft’s WP7 Answers forum that they have been unable to install the update, instead running into an error message.
Microsoft responded with a tweet posted to the WinPhoSupport7 feed, begging pardon. “We are aware of the error code and are looking into it right now to find a resolution. Thanks for your patience,” the company said.
Of course, the inability to install an update is a far cry from the earlier issues that surfaced last month, when some Samsung users found their devices rendered useless, or “bricked,” after going through the update.
