Compware Releases HTML Editor for “Control Freaks”

Compware introduced its Agile HTML Editor this week following extensive testing by a large group of enthusiastic and demanding developers.

The tool first appeared on the scene in May 1996, and many new features have been added over the last two years.

Agile, known as the “right-click editor” for its easy HTML tag configuration,
includes support for the latest HTML features, but takes a different
approach to Web authoring than most tools.

The product features an in-depth understanding of nine different HTML variants, includes official HTML references, and offers a slick user interface that enables authors to stay in complete control of their HTML.

The Agile HTML Editor now supports the latest Web techniques, including
Dynamic HTML, Scriptlets, and Cascading Style Sheets. It includes support for all the main HTML standards (HTML 4.0, HTML 3.2, and HTML 2.0) and browsers (Netscape Communicator 4.0, Netscape Navigator 4.0, 3.0, and 2.0, and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, 3.0, and 2.0), and enables developers to switch from one standard to another with instantly reconfigured menus, error highlighting, and help hints.

The Agile HTML Editor retails for $75 and is available for the Microsoft
