New HTML Editor HomeSite 4.0 Released

Allaire Corp. today announced HomeSite
4.0, the latest release of its HTML editing tool.


The compay calls it WYSIWYN
(What You See Is What You Need), meaning they proved an HTML editing view,
a “design view” for visual page design, and a preview mode which uses IE
4.0 code to display what a page will look like in a browser.


Improved user interface features include user-defined macros, programmable
hot keys, dockable toolbars, and a completely customizable interface.


There’s also a Style Sheet editor and support for SMIL, DHTML, and
JavaScript, as well as management features including site view, HTML
validation, and link verification.
