Computer Associates International, Inc.
and Innovative Systems Techniques
announced a partnership that aims to provide Jasmine users with the ability
to manage time-varying data using TimeSeries Class Libraries.

Insyte’s TimeSeries Class Libraries are a class family within Jasmine, the
multimedia, object-oriented development environment for intranets and the
Internet. The TimeSeries Class Libraries provide encapsulated functionality
which is used for creating, updating, retrieving and manipulating data that
is likely to change over time from within Jasmine or a Jasmine application.

For example, a company that follows the performance of stock indexes can
track this information over a period of time by storing the data in a
TimeSeries object for each date that the components of the index change.
This enables changes in an item to be monitored between either regular or
irregular time intervals, providing the flexibility the company needs.

The interactions between the two environments have been encapsulated,
enabling the tasks to be automatically processed within the environment
that is best suited for the specific operation. Each of the objects in a
class might have different aspects represented in a time-varying property,
allowing extremely advanced, difficult tasks to be easily performed.

new partnership, visit the companies respective Web sites.
