Micro Computer Systems, Inc. (MCS) this week announced a new Java software system that adds e-mail and FTP capabilities to any application.

Calypso Communication Server (CCS) works in conjunction with a company’s database management system or information application to automatically send unique or similar e-mail messages or files over the Internet.

Designed for companies that depend on databases such as Oracle, Informix, OpenIngres, and Sybase, or for companies that use DB2 or other applications to manage large quantities of data, CCS automatically sends e-mail or transmits files via FTP.

Evaluation copies of CCS have just been released. The product is also available to end-users and independent software developers, and for OEM licensing.

For more information, MCS can be contacted by phone at 800-886-4923, or via e-mail at info@mcsdallas.com.
