Using DNS Expert version 1.5, administrators can utilize Ping, Traceroute and DNS Query functions, simplifying the process of fixing problems discovered by DNS Expert’s core analysis functionality. According to Men & Mice, DNS Expert 1.5’s new charting features make using the product “a more intuitive, streamlined DNS analysis and problem solving experience.”
New features of DNS Expert version 1.5 include:
- The ability to view Ping statistics graphically, with a histogram and
advanced logging information
- Execute a user-defined number of traceroutes, average those traceroutes and present the data as a scatterplot graphic
- The new DNS Query function can return all of the DNS information for the host, including: A Records, NS Records, MX Records, CNAME, SOA, HINFO, PTR Record and Zone Transfers
DNS Expert performs in-depth analysis of DNS Zone data and reports the results in a clear, graphical format.
