NetObjects Inc. Tuesday announced
NetObjects Authoring Server for Java Server Pages.

NetObjects
Authoring Server, a collaborative Web development and content management
solution, combined with JSP and Java server technology from Sun Microsystems, supplies developers with an
integrated RAD (rapid application development) platform for developing
enterprise Web applications.

By using NAS for JSP, integrated teams of Web designers and developers will
be able to rapidly create Java-based Web applications at a reduced cost.
The platform combines the most important aspects of enterprise Web
production: collaboration, control, rapid design and development, easy
administration, openness and connectivity. Enterprise applications
developed with NAS for JSP can be utilized with Java Application Servers
including IBM Websphere, BEA WebLogic, iPlanet Application Server from the
Sun/Netscape Alliance and others.

NAS for JSP provides a rapid solution for the development and deployment of
Java applications in corporate environments. These environments can include
multiple platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Solaris and Linux. A visual
environment aids the collaboration among members with different roles and
skill sets. The tool also provides central control over workflow and Web
production and leverages corporate investments in existing tools and systems.

NetObjects Authoring Server for Java Server Pages is scheduled to become
available in the first quarter of 2000.
