Microsoft Corp. this week announced the immediate availability of the Microsoft Visual InterDev 6.0 March pre-release.
This pre-release is a preview of the latest version of Microsoft’s team-based
Web development system that enables the rapid production of data-driven Web
applications.
Visual InterDev 6.0’s new integrated development environment makes it easier
for developers to design, build, debug. and deploy cross-platform HTML
applications that connect Web browsers with ODBC-compliant databases.
New features of Visual InterDev 6.0 include:
- a WYSIWYG HTML editor that preserves source-code formatting
- client- and server-side script debugging
- improved database tools
- advanced support for team-based development
This release also adds additional support for developers targeting the Windows Distributed interNet Applications (Windows DNA) architecture. Windows DNA utilizes reusable, middle-tier COM components that have been developed using other Visual Studio development system-based tools.
The free March pre-release of Microsoft Visual InterDev 6.0 is available for
download from the Microsoft
Visual InterDev Web site. It may also be purchased on CD-ROM for US$7.50
domestically, or US14.95 outside the United States.
