Wall Data Releases Host App Development Kit

Wall Data Incorporated today announced Cyberprise Host Developer, a full-featured development kit for creating customized host applications for the Web.

Wall Data’s solution enables developers to utilize a single product for the design and creation of business-critical host applications.

By using Cyberprise Host Developer’s dynamic screen generation and selective
re-engineering capabilities, application developers are able to save
development time and expense while improving user navigation and information
processing.

The tool enables developers to:

• create and customize Web-based host applications using ActiveX controls
  
• selectively re-engineer AS/400 and mainframe applications
  
• and automatically generate modifiable GUI front-ends.
  

Cyberprise Host Developer includes a library of components that allow
developers to create custom Cyberprise Host applications using standard
programming languages such as Visual Basic and Visual C++. The interface and
workflow of host applications may be redesigned by automatically generating
modifiable ActiveX controls without changing the host application itself.

Cyberprise Host Developer is expected to be released in August 1998, and will
be available for a retail price of $4,750 through Wall Data’s sales force as
well as normal distributors and resellers.
