Moving to provide detailed visitor and usage analysis of increasingly popular
streaming media content, WebTrends Corp. upgraded
its e-business intelligence and CRM product WebTrends Enterprise Suite to
version 5.0.

The company said the new release provides in-depth reporting and analysis on
Real Networks RealServer, Microsoft Windows Media Player and Apple’s
QuickTime and Darwin Streaming Server, including detailed visitor and usage
analysis and reporting on rich streaming media content.

Designed for enterprise-level customers, WebTrends Enterprise Suite 5.0
offers detailed analytics for sites in excess of 1 billion hits per analysis
period and 40 million unique visitors per day, the company said.

Enterprise Suite integrates with the Vignette V/5 eBusiness Platform, and
later this week, WebTrends will also release updated versions for Lotus
Domino as well as Professional Suite and Log Analyzer, solutions geared for
rich Web visitor reporting for small businesses.

Other enhancements include a boost in Web data analysis performance up to 200
percent through improvements to its core analysis engine. WebTrends said its
FastTrends database, developed specifically for fast analysis of massive
amounts of Web data, has seen performance improved by a factor of 90 times,
while memory usage is 10 percent of its previous size.

Also, new reporting features allow users to better understand customer
preferences, experience and activity on more sophisticated sites than before.
Enterprise Suite also includes advanced cookie analysis and a new graphing
engine.

“Enterprise Suite 5.0 is the Swiss Army Knife of e-business management
solutions, ready to provide detailed visitor analytics on all aspects of an
e-business,” said Eli Shapira, chief executive officer of WebTrends.
