WebTrends Corp. Monday released the
latest version of its Enterprise Suite server management solution, complete
with a streaming media analysis feature.
WebTrends Enterprise Suite is designed for single or clustered servers. Its
tools include Web server traffic analysis, streaming media server analysis,
proxy server analysis, link analysis, quality control and monitoring and alerting and recovery of Internet servers.
The streaming media cartridge in version 3.5 is designed to support
RealNetworks and Microsoft streaming media servers, both considered
industry leaders. With it, users can track and analyze Web site visitor
interaction with media streams. It provides analysis on functions such as
the most popular clips, stops, starts and replays.
“The addition of the streaming media server cartridge will give
organizations the ability to more completely understand their customers
preferences and usage patterns, enabling better decisions regarding site
design, content development and technical infrastructure needs,” said Eli
Shapira, WebTrends chief executive officer.
Other new features in the updated suite include Enterprise, a Web server
traffic analysis
cartridge, first time versus returning visitors reporting, advanced path
analysis reporting and analysis of content
groups based on visitor traffic.
The WebTrends Enterprise Suite v.3.5 is priced at US$1,499, with an annual
subscription of $299. A trial version is also available for free download
at the company’s Web site.
