WhoWhere? Inc., a provider of free Web-based communication and collaboration applications, announced today the launch of WhoWhere Pages, a personal home page publishing application.
WhoWhere Pages features HTML editors, Web page hosting and pre-designed templates and style sets. Five megabytes of disc space are provided to users for their home pages which the company said can be created in less than 15 minutes with the tools provided.
“WhoWhere Pages are designed to be a flexible, free Web-based application that appeals to everyone from the novice to the advanced hobbyist,” said Mike Armistead senior vice president of products and marketing for WhoWhere. “Personal home pages add value to an online community by strengthening its affinity and increasing repeat traffic.”
With this application, WhoWhere is building strategic partnerships with online communities, portals and companies interested in increasing user retention within their site. gURL, an online community for teenage girls, and barnesandnoble.com, the online book seller, are the first partners to private-label WhoWhere Pages, the company said.

We have seen a tremendous response from the girls which is reflected by the number of pages that have been created.”
The design of WhoWhere Pages is made to be scalable and customizable. The application is built with an engine designed to support a multitude of different users, and the registration page is tailored to remain consistent with the look and feel of the partner’s Web site.
