Atlantis Software Friday announced the
launch of PagerServer, which provides companies with the option to have
their own secure Internet and intranet pager gateway.

PageServer includes true load sharing and the ability for simultaneous
transmissions across multiple modems, redundancy protection, enhanced
encryption and a fully customizable Web page user interface.

If 20 messages are going to 20 different people
belonging to the same pager service, PagerServer will make one call, firing all 20 messages to its intended recipients. If the messages are going to varying pager services, then the device will balance the message batch across all devices.

“We are really excited about this new product,” said Rick Gordon, CEO,
Atlantis. “You usually have to pay monthly service fees to get Internet
access for your pagers and you still have to remember the pager numbers.
With PagerServer, companies can now install their own server and send
messages to pagers via the Internet or intranet just by clicking on the person or group.”
