Siemens
Information and Communications Networks Inc. is partnering with
Enterprise Consulting Group Inc. to package a group of intranet solutions
aimed at health care providers.
Enterprise will develop customized content which will be combined with
Siemens’ intranet platform. The companies will target small and
medium-sized hospitals and health care facilities across the country.
Siemens health care intranet platform features an information delivery
system that divides content into 750 customizable categories. It also
features a simple Web authoring tool supporting both standard HTML and Java.
“This alliance unites the global power of Siemens’ information solutions
with Enterprise Consulting Group’s proven, custom intranet development and
implementation strategies and methodologies. As more health care
organizations move toward the Internet and electronic commerce, Siemens and
Enterprise will be ready to deliver combined services that help clients
achieve their unique business objectives,” said Douglas Ruth, Enterprise’s
president.
Harold Goldberg, Siemens’ health care solutions industry manager, said the
agreement allows Siemens to leverage Enterprise’s resources and strong
health care presence as part of its efforts to penetrate the health care
market.
The companies said the intranet solution can be fully operational in under
60 days and is cost-effective for companies with as few as 500 employees.
