RealNetworks and VStream, Inc. announced plans today to
collaborate on new streaming video solutions for corporate intranets and
extranets.
The companies said they will develop outsourcing and hosting solutions for
sales, marketing, and business communications using RealNetworks’ RealSystem 5.0.
VStream will host and manage live or on-demand corporate content, resell
RealSystem 5.0 intranet products, and work with RealNetworks on joint
selling, marketing, and development activities.

“Their market leadership and experience in the Intranet space, combined with
VStream’s video management and control system and services provides customers
a powerful solution for any application requiring streaming multimedia on
their Intranets.”
Under the agreement, VStream reports that corporations using its
outsourcing and hosting solutions will in turn be able to quickly deploy
RealNetworks’ streaming media intranet solutions.
