Accel Partners Invests $10 Million in cybermeals

Seattle-based cybermeals and Silicon Valley venture
capital firm Accel Partners formed a partnership that will bring $10 million in funding to the online restaurant meal company.

The companies also said that Jim Breyer and Bud Colligan, managing partner and
venture partner respectively at Accel, would join the cybermeals board of

the ideal strategic partner as we enter our next phase of development as a

The official consumer launch of the service in April 1998 coincided with the commencement of partnership deals designating cybermeals as the exclusive online ordering service for America Online, Excite, Lycos and Yahoo!

cybermeals gives Internet users the ability to locate restaurants in their own neighborhoods and order from full menus and specials as far as three months in advance. The service is available nationwide with more than 25,000 restaurants under contract.
