Hurst, TX-based Ibertech Inc.,
developers of the Aloha suite of point-of-sale solutions, and online
restaurant ordering service cybermeals announced a strategic
agreement.
Ibertech said it will bundle cybermeals products and services with all Aloha
TableService POS systems shipped to new customers beginning in April of this
year. In addition, all restaurants currently using Aloha TableService will
have the option of adding cybermeals online ordering to their existing
systems.
“This partnership represents the next logical leap for restaurants and point-
of-sale technology,” said Allen Walker, Ibertech’s chief operating officer.
“As an increasing number of people use the Internet for commerce, whether
it’s to order groceries or rent a car, it seems like a natural segue to
bring in the restaurant industry, too. By integrating cybermeals with Aloha
TableService, we will make receiving online orders easier and more
profitable for restaurant operators.”
Tim Glass, co-founder, president and chief executive officer of cybermeals,
said, “This partnership will allow take-out and delivery meal orders placed
through cybermeal’s Web site to go directly from the customer keyboard to the
Aloha POS system.”
cybermeals claims more than 11,000 restaurants under contract and plans to
expand internationally in 1998.
