Trade information provider Asian Sources has launched its
first interactive Web site in simplified Chinese, Chief Executive China Online.
The new site focuses on the needs of China’s growing business elite in a
complementary format to the print edition, Asian Sources Chief Executive
China.
“Currently, there are 2.1 million Internet users in China and
this number is growing according to the China Internet
Information Center,” said Mark Saunderson, publisher of
Chief Executive China.
“To meet this demand, international
search engines such as Sohoo and Yahoo! have opted to localize
their formats using simplified Chinese which survey results
demonstrate have proven advantages over foreign formats,” continued Saunderson
“At the end of the day, Chief Executive China Online is more
than a comprehensive read.
It is Asia’s most sophisticated business-to-business online
resource and management tool,” remarked Saunderson.
Interactive features of the site include a ‘management clinic,’ which is a
virtual community hosted by a rotating set of world-class Chinese speaking
management strategists.
It permits users to ask questions about
significant management problems and to view these answers and
others on a regular basis.
Also included on the site are management resources offering
management editorial content and a bilingual search engine.
There are links to other Internet sites containing information on MBA
programs, management training events and seminars in and outside China, as
well as links to international management consultancies.
