The Australian Federal Government export and investment agency Austrade is searching for ten local companies with e-business or Internet-enabling technologies to live the Silicon Valley life for one week.

Austrade’s eBusiness
Mission Competition
will provide the chance for so-called ‘best of breed’ technology companies in Internet hardware, software or services to experience US IT at its core.

The trip has been developed by Austrade as an opportunity for small to medium IT business to learn more about market trends and competition first-hand, in one of its most concentrated geographical areas.

These trends include business-to-business e-commerce, Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) developments, enterprise software, personalisation and the convergence of online and bricks and mortar businesses, said Austrade program manager Andrea Neilson.
