Seattle.internet.com has learned that the WSA (Washington Software Alliance) is now accepting applications for its 6th annual Industry Achievement Awards celebration. The event will take place February 1, 2001 at the Westin Hotel in downtown Seattle.

Awards will be given out in seven categories ranging from business product of the year to most promising new company.

Applications are due by November 16th, 2000, and are available on WSA’s web site at: www.wsa1.org/events/iaa2001.main.asp. Companies need not be WSA members to apply.

According to Sally Von Bargen, Executive Vice President of Getty Images’s B2B Commerce
and WSA Board member, who is chairing this year’s Industry Achievement Awards committee, the focus of the 2001 awards is changing a bit from previous years. “For 2001, we still want to recognize those who are
creating better products and solutions while also highlighting their use of new and innovative technologies,” says Von Bargen.
