Bell, Cenosis Ally for Document Transmission Service

[Montreal, CANADA] Cenosis and Bell ActiMedia have signed an
agreement by which KangaCom, a subsidiary of Cenosis, will offer a
pay-per-use electronic document exchange service to members of the
Bell ActiMedia B2B Bellzinc.ca portal.

The commercial launch is scheduled for the beginning of 2001.

The new KangaCom service will enable users to quickly, economically,
and securely transmit via the Internet, large digital files such as
art work and proofs, multimedia documents, architectural blueprints,
videos and photographs, and music.

The site will target primarily the graphic arts industry, the main
potential user of digital transmission services, and will feature
in-depth articles, a discussion forum, a FAQ section and an online
consulting service.

The service will use a proprietary KangaCom technology with data
encryption capabilities and a traffic management function that will
permit, among other features, transmission confirmation and file
prioritization.

The new transmission service will be offered via the Internet through
a bilingual co-branded Web site by Bell ActiMedia and KangaCom,
which will have a URL link to the Bellzinc.ca portal.

Bell Actimedia’s new B2B Bellzinc.ca portal aims to increase the
profitability of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through
cost and time savings gained from the business content and
significant cost reductions on various products purchased online.

“Local SMEs will find that Bellzinc.ca can address their business
needs, regardless of their industry sector,” said Luc Filiatrault,
BellZinc.ca vice-president and general manager.

“Our partners will offer all SMEs content and tailor-made
applications such as electronic transactions, online calls for
tender, and consulting services in marketing, human resources,
communications, accounting, information technology, law, and
logistics.”
