Internet software store Beyond.com has been awarded a
three-year, $6.1 million contract to deliver software upgrades and updates of
Microsoft products to the Patent and Trademark Office.
Under terms of the contract, Beyond.com will deliver Microsoft products,
including Windows NT, Office Pro, BackOffice, Visual Studio, FrontPage and
Project for distribution throughout the government agency.
The contract follows a series of agreements whereby Beyond.com provides
software to the U.S. government, including contracts with the Defense
Logistics Agency (DLA), National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) and as a
partner on a contract for the U.S. Army.
Beyond.com uses its Enterprise Download Manager technology to digitally
deliver updates and upgrades of Microsoft products the same day the product
is released.
Beyond.com’s online government store located at includes
more than 44,000 software and other digital products across 100
categories. More than 5,600 of these products are available for immediate,
digital delivery.
