Bondsmith Offers Free Version of SiteGauge

Bondsmith is offering a free version of its SiteGauge Web
site traffic monitoring and measurement service.

The new, free service can
monitor multiple Web pages with a single account, while allowing users to view
up-to-the-second traffic statistics simply by placing a fragment of HTML into
their pages.

Among SiteGauge’s features are Monday morning e-mail reports, e-mail
on-demand, easy integration with popular HTML editors from Microsoft,
Allaire, and Macromedia, and a pop-up window on the desktop that displays
instantaneous site traffic activity.

“Who wants partial information?” said SiteGauge’s director of marketing,
Aaron Maas. “What is useful is knowing how many unique individuals
visit your Web site, which pages they visit, where they click from and when on
an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly basis.”

The free SiteGauge service requires placement of a button-sized logo on the
pages, while SiteGauge Pro is a paid-for service which requires no such
advertising.

The vendor plans several other projects in a new marketing campaign,
including a partner program with rewards for sites that recommend SiteGauge
as a useful resource for Web publishers.
