Brewer Tags Livelink for Web-Based Knowledge Management

Molson Breweries chose Open Text Corp. for its
enterprise-wide knowledge management.

The 212-year-old brewing company said it purchased Livelink primarily to acquire a powerful Web-based knowledge management solution that is easily scaled as more users are added.

Robert Van Tol, Manager, Web Technologies, Molson Breweries, said that while
attending a conference, “we received strong feedback from some of the world’s
largest companies about their Livelink implementation, confirming our
decision to purchase the software.”

“Livelink’s rich off-the-shelf functionality, enterprise scalability
and secure collaborative capabilities have made it the knowledge management
standard for a rapidly growing number of the world’s largest companies,” said Abe Kleinfeld, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Open Text Corp..

Presently, Molson uses Livelink in many different departments across the
company, including the information technology department, which uses
Livelink’s project collaboration capabilities to help manage the company’s
Year 2000 compliance initiatives.

“Previously there was a mix of systems, some even paper-based, which made it
difficult for some departments to work together,” added Van Tol. “Our
goal is to be able to share information throughout the company and we are
delighted that Livelink allows us to easily reach our goal and enable
time-saving collaboration.”

Molson Breweries, Canada’s largest brewer, offers Canadian beer drinkers
more than 80 quality brands of beer.
