[Waterloo, CANADA] Open Text Corp., which offers collaborative commerce software for e-business, has agreed with TopTier Software, Inc., to marry the collaborative knowledge management capabilities of Livelink with the “Drag and Relate” technology of TopTier’s eBusiness Integration Portal.

This integrated solution serves as the foundation for collaborative e-business applications, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and supply chain management (SCM).

Through TopTier’s unified interface for business information and processes, organizations can extend their investments in Livelink and core enterprise applications. The single step “Drag and Relate” method provides a fast and efficient means of extracting information from an organization’s Livelink database, according to Andrew Pery, vice president of Global Marketing, Open Text.

TopTier Software, Inc. provides Enterprise Information Portals and products that integrate information residing in a business’s internal and external enterprise applications, databases, documents, Web sites, and other data sources. Its eBusiness Integration Portal software products are designed to enable a business’s extended enterprise of customers, vendors, suppliers and employees to directly access, navigate and manipulate integrated information using an intuitive portal interface.

TopTier’s HyperRelational technology is used in applications of software companies including SAP’s mySAP.com and Baan Company’s Baan Data Navigator. It is privately held with headquarters in San Jose, California.

Open Text provides collaborative commerce solutions for e-business that enable users to extend and build applications and allow them to work together within and across organizations. Its solution family Livelink enables individuals, teams, organizations, and global trading communities to collaborate on e-business applications that facilitate e-commerce and other transactions.
