CD Plus, a Canadian-based online music retailer, has launched a fully interactive online catalog service using INEX Corporation’s Internet Commerce software.

Featuring interviews, articles, reviews, links to artist Web pages, and an extensive music title database, the CD Plus site has established itself as one of Canada’s most successful music sites on the Web.

INEX Internet Commerce applications enable small and medium businesses to leverage the Internet as a primary sales channel. Designed to minimize a company’s time to market, INEX Commerce Court applications allow a business to develop an online store and begin conducting transactions in less than 24 hours.

Founded in 1989, CD Plus launched with the goal of offering superior service at an aggressive price. Ten years later, the company has opened its 10th retail location in Ontario and currently employs 70 people.

The CD Plus Compact Disc Online Catalog offers more than 65,000 titles along with listings of laser discs, Mini-Discs and CD-ROMs. Through the catalog and Web site, CD Plus offers a range of at-home shopping opportunities.

Headquartered in Toronto, INEX provides a suite of Internet Commerce applications that extends Microsoft technologies into complete Internet Commerce solutions. In April 1998, Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) announced a minority equity investment in INEX, to help bring affordable electronic commerce solutions to the small and medium business marketplace.
