Century Bank to Offer Internet Banking Services

Century Bank announced Friday it will offer
online, real-time Internet Banking during the second quarter this year.

Century’s Internet Banking expects to enable customers to bank via the
Internet 24-hours a day from home or
office PCs. Features will include multiple statement viewing and retrieval,
funds
transfers between accounts, loan payments, viewing and printing of current
account history, and stop
payments. Future capabilities will include online bill payment and deluxe
check re-ordering.

“Century is striving to meet the needs of today’s banking customer,” said
Marshall M. Sloane, chairman and CEO of Century. “Customers want better,
faster and more convenient ways to access and utilize their money,
including the ease of banking from home or work. Our new Internet banking
product will certainly enhance our customer delivery system.”

Century Bank is a state chartered, commercial bank with assets of over $850
million and
operates 16 full-service branches serving eastern Massachusetts.
