Chapters Online Thursday widened its e-tail relationship with Microsoft Canada to expand its computer and equipment offerings.

As part of the agreement, Chapters.ca is now selling hardware products from
Microsoft within its electronics section. Canadian consumers will also be
able to pre-order Windows 2000 later this month.

In addition to being able to purchase Microsoft software, Canadians can find a range of Microsoft equipment products, the company said

“There is a high demand for Microsoft products in Canada and this
relationship makes it easier for Canadians to purchase these items online,”
said Greg Barber, national retail sales manager for Microsoft Canada.

Chapters Online is a Canadian e-commerce company which operates
www.chapters.ca and Gardencrazy.com.

The Gardencrazy.com Web site features a wide selection of plants as well as
gardening apparel, tools, and accessories. Its features are expected to be added to the main Chapters site as a new category, in addition to the separate Web site.

In September, Chapters Online became a publicly traded, separate
company from Chapters Inc. Chapters Inc., Canada’s largest book
retailer, retains a majority ownership stake in Chapters Online and together
the companies operate e-commerce kiosks at all Chapters stores across
Canada.
