CitySearch, a provider
of information for online city guides, announced it has formed
partnerships with three more metropolitan news companies: The Baltimore
Sun, The Dallas Morning News, and The San Diego Union-Tribune.
This will bring new city sites to Baltimore, Dallas and Fort Worth, and San
Diego. The deals call for CitySearch to provide technology for the sites
help in marketing and sales, plus teams to assist in the launch of each
guide; the newspapers are responsible for their individual site content.
CitySearch already operates sites in Austin, Texas; Melbourne, Australia;
Nashville, Tenn.; New York; Pasadena, Calif.; Portland, Ore.; Raleigh-
Durham/Chapel Hill, N.C.; Salt Lake City; San Francisco; Sydney, Australia;
Toronto; and Washington, D.C. It will soon launch in Los Angeles and
Scandinavia.
