Datacraft Consolidates With 7 Million Asian Networking Deal

[Singapore, 11 August 2000]
– Dimension Data’s subsidiary, Datacraft Asia, this week announced yet another networking acquisition in
the region, that of Microsoft’s leading Asian business partner, Multisoft Singapore Pte Ltd in a deal
worth S $12.1 million (US $7 million).

Under the agreement, Datacraft has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, Multisoft IT Solutions (MIT)
which will acquire all the business undertakings, inventory, staff and fixed assets of Multisoft
Singapore for the S $12.1 million price tag.

This acquisition adds desktop and server management services to Datacraft’s existing remote
network management services.
Datacraft CEO Ron Cattell explained that this will allow the company to offer a more
complete range of end-to-end e-business management solutions.

Not only will this deal consolidate and expand Datacraft’s regional networking services but
it will also allow the company to provide Microsoft certified solutions and services to the
region.

The fifteen-year old Multisoft, winners of the Microsoft Large Account Reseller of the Year
award for the last five years, is a registered Microsoft Certified Solutions Providers for
the region.

Multisoft General Manager Leman Ng believes that this acquisition will bolster both
companies.
“Given Datacraft’s well-established track record and geographical footprint, we can quickly
expand our regional customer base and grow our company more rapidly than we could have on
our own,” he commented.
He added that Multisoft’s software integration skills will add value to Datacraft’s
offering.

Datacraft now boasts 61 offices in thirteen Asian Pacific countries.
The company has been recently consolidating its regional presence and has landed some
important deals, most notably the installation of the first IP multicasting network in the
Korean financial sector for Hyundai Securities.

The purchase price of S $12.1 million, to be funded primarily from Datacraft’s June share
placement, is subject to Multisoft achieving after tax profits of S $5.4 million
(US $3.1 million) over 36-months.
