DataMark Holding Inc. of Salt Lake City reported it acquired Books Now Inc., one of the
larger booksellers on the Internet, for an undisclosed amount of common stock.


Books Now will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of DataMark and Books Now
founder and Chief Executive Officer David Chazin agreed to stay on as
president.


Las Vegas-based Books Now, a three-year-old company, operates a virtual
bookstore and has strategic alliances with hundreds of national magazines such
as Cosmopolitan, Field & Stream, and Town &
Country
.


With its PartnerPlus Virtual Bookstores Program, Books Now designs, builds,
and maintains online bookstores for other Web sites, publishers, and retailers
with high-volume traffic.


DataMark Holding is an Internet services company specializing in complex Web
hosting and content distribution. Its WorldNow
subsidiary operates an interconnected community of television station Web
sites throughout the country.
