Eritmo.com, an Internet community of Latin music artists and aficionados, Friday announced that this coming November it will launch version 1.0 of KONECTOR, a subscription-based music streaming service. Eritmo.com’s KONECTOR technology will allow fans to create and edit their own music playlists, as well as stream their favorite tunes on their computer for a monthly fee.
“In addition to bringing Latin music aficionados the latest in music innovation, eritmo.com’s KONECTOR represents a substantial additional revenue stream for our company and will play a major role in the recording industry’s efforts to monetize digital music on the Internet,” said Francisco de la Torre, founder, president and CEO of eritmo.com.
Soon after the release of KONECTOR version 1.0 Eritmo.com says it will develop an enhanced version to provide video capabilities to all Latin music aficionados. Among KONECTOR’s other features will be the options to purchase CDs while listening to streamed audio, participate in chats, post personal song reviews, learn about concerts and tour schedules, visit artist fan clubs, receive song recommendations or send playlists to a friend.
“Eritmo.com knows that music is a very powerful and personal medium and we have always strived to bring our fans the latest in technology and industry innovations,” added de la Torre. “People want music and they want it quickly, conveniently and inexpensively – KONECTOR will bring them just that, coupled with the legitimacy that a music streaming subscription service can provide.”
To facilitate the distribution of KONECTOR and its other music services, eritmo.com has cut deals with iCAST, MovilGo Systems, MyWeb, T1MSN, Telemex; To2, UOL International, and Yupi Internet Inc., through which Eritmo.com will offer several music services ranging from the creation of a Latin music channel to the expansion of existing music content on those sites. Eritmo.com will provide its partners coverage of the Latin music industry including news, videos, and revenue driven digital music initiatives like KONECTOR.
