Ontario’s guideCast has announced the launch of its now4.com branded Channel
Guide devoted entirely to the QuickTime 4 player.

The QuickTime Channel
Guide, available for free download here, features regularly scheduled shows including movie clips, music videos, sport events, tech radio and celebrity
interviews.

Users can tune in to either live or on-demand shows. This
companion application to the QuickTime player automatically updates when new
channels are available and with its online program guide, users can see what
shows are scheduled for broadcast up to two hours in advance.

“We plan on adding more channels in the next few weeks and in the end, the
consumers are the winners,” stated Otamere Omoruyi, president of guideCast.

“Having a QuickChannel allows millions of users to get easy access to our
programming,” said Howard Kroeger, director of operations and programming
Q-94FM /1290 Starlight.

“With QuickChannels, viewers can select from stations
in the Channel Guide, including Q94FM — the only major market radio station
that is broadcasting on the web exclusively in QuickTime.”
