[Toronto, CANADA] The Howard Johnson Canada hotel chain is installing
the CAIS Internet/VirtuaLINC hotel solution that allows its guests to
access the Net from every room up to 50 times faster than traditional
modem methods.

The new broadband service is provided by VirtuaLINC, CAIS Internet,
and Bell Nexxia.

VirtuaLINC is a Dallas-based broadband communications services
company specializing in IP-based video services, high speed Internet,
and data services for hotels and corporations.

CAIS Internet is a broadband solutions company providing the mobile
workforce with comprehensive high speed Internet solutions.

Bell Nexxia provides the actual broadband network to each hotel
property.

The 20,000 guest rooms and 500 meeting rooms at Howard Johnson Hotels
and Inns across Canada can now offer business travelers the latest in
broadband high-speed Internet access.

The initial phase, which includes over 40 properties franchised by
Howard Johnson Canada expects to be completed by the end of this
quarter.

Additionally, selected properties will also offer high quality
videoconferencing from their meeting rooms using CAIS/VirtuaLINC
technology.

The hotels themselves can also use the high-speed pipeline for back
office data transmissions such as connecting to the corporate
reservation system.
