ITnetwork.com Reveals E-Commerce Strategy

The UK’s largest IT product and service infomediary
ITnetwork.com announced Tuesday
the first in a series of planned strategic partnerships aimed at
positioning the company at the forefront of e-commerce.

The first step, says ITnetwork.com, is a partnership with Direct IT,
enabling ITnetwork.com’s 135,000 registered IT professionals to
complete the purchasing cycle online.

“Too many Internet sites are far too complex,” observed Alan Furniss,
managing director of Direct IT.

“Corporate buyers want fast service. With ITnetwork.com the purchaser
can get independent buying advice, identify a suitable product or
products, and then link directly to us, buy it and get it delivered
tomorrow. We have been working with ITnetwork.com for only two weeks
now and already we have seen a 10 per cent increase in traffic on
our site.”

ITnetwork.com not only provides comprehensive product information
but also offers its users a unique product comparison tool. It
claims to carry information on “all IT manufacturers products,”
and has many blue-chip clients such as Toshiba, Compaq, Hitachi,
among others.

“ITnetwork.com is already changing the way IT purchases are made,”
said Alastair Laidlaw, managing director of ITnetwork.com.

“As we continue to forge strategic online partnerships like this,
ITnetwork.com will simply become the most efficient way to identify,
verify and purchase IT products.”
