Marketplace4U.com, a consumer
e-commerce subsidiary of Manchester Equipment Co. Inc., has
signed an agreement with StarMedia Network, the Internet media
company serving Spanish and Portuguese speaking audiences, to be the
“prominent” consumer electronic products provider to StarMedia users in the
United States.

Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

“Marketplace4U.com will provide StarMedia’s United States network users
Spanish language product descriptions, shopping guides, and permission-based
e-mail to make it easy for shoppers to take advantage of our unique savings
opportunities on brand name consumer electronics,” said Seth Collins, vice
president of marketplace4U.com.

Established in June 1999, Marketplace4U. leverages the infrastructure of its
parent, Manchester Equipment Co. Inc., a 27-year old business that has
already established its success off-line.

“At Marketplace4U.com, we are
taking a pioneering approach to expanding our services on the Web. The
upcoming consumer electronics channel on StarMedia gives us the chance to
serve the fastest growing community in the United States,” said Collins.

Marketplace4U.com sells brand-name products including consumer electronics,
appliances, car products and office equipment. Manchester Equipment Co., Inc.
is a network integrator and reseller of computer hardware, software and
networking products, primarily for commercial customers.
