InfoLibria has announced a reseller agreement with Marubeni Solutions
Corp. of Japan to re-sell InfoLibria’s content distribution and
management products, including the DynaCache Web cache, MediaMall streaming
media device, and Content Commander management system.
The agreement, along
with the company’s concomitant reseller agreement with Tokyo Electron marks
InfoLibria’s entrance into the Asian market.
“Japan suffers from tremendous bandwidth constraints, which are placing
increasing economic strains on Internet service providers,” said Masabumi
Doi, deputy general manager at Marubeni Solutions.
“Marubeni considered several solutions to solve Internet service providers’ bandwidth problems.
After looking at all of the options, we decided that InfoLibria offered the
best products for Japan. We are especially impressed with DynaCache’s ability
to operate in a transparent mode and its optional integration with streaming
media.”
“Japan has the second largest Internet market in the world after the United
States, but bandwidth can cost up to 10 times as much,” said Shyam Jha, vice
president of marketing at InfoLibria, Inc.
“Asian Internet service providers
are quickly turning to content management to improve efficiency of their
networks and the experience of their users. Marubeni’s expertise and reach
within Japan position the company well to serve Internet service providers
and large corporate customers looking for intelligent solutions to their
bandwidth problems.”
