Microsoft is touting another milestone for its Windows Live Messenger IM client. The iPhone app for the service, launched just five days ago, has already garnered more than 1 million downloads, the company said.
That comes on the heels of word from Microsoft that its IM client had signed up more than 300 million users, a milestone the company passed in February. Datamation has the latest on Microsoft’s work to expand the reach of its applications, on the iPhone and beyond.
In just five days, more than a million iPhone users have downloaded Microsoft’s free Windows Live Messenger app, a company official said on Monday.
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) began shipping the iPhone instant messaging app via Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) iTunes App Store just last Tuesday.
