MP3.com, Inc. Thursday announced it has become a
shareholder in PacketVideo Corp.

“The delivery of music via wireless technologies is a logical extension of
our Music Service Provider concept of consumers being able to access their
music from anywhere,” said Michael Robertson, chairman and chief executive
officer of MP3.com.

“This investment brings us to a total of $56 million we
have invested in several key software, hardware, marketing and technology
companies to fuel our MSP vision.”

PacketVideo develops MPEG-4 compliant software that enables the delivery,
management and viewing of full motion video and audio over wireless networks
on mobile information devices including Internet-enabled cellular telephones,
handheld devices, wireless personal digital assistants and laptop computers.
