NetGateway Buys Small Business E-Comm System

Electronic commerce provider NetGateway Inc. Tuesday acquired ShoppingPlanet.com’s e-Operator
system for an undisclosed amount.


e-Operator, a small business operating system, will be incorporated into
StoresOnline.com, a storefront building site newly acquired by NetGateway.
Its features include inventory management, purchasing management, order
fulfillment, order status, sales commissions, Web-based order procurement
and payment processing.


“Through the pending acquisition of our StoresOnline.com subsidiary
NetGateway will enable hundreds of small businesses to conduct business
through the Internet,” said Keith Freadhoff, chief executive officer of
NetGateway.”


“e-Operator will be a terrific added-value proposition for small businesses
providing them the opportunity to gain similar efficiencies in their
day-to-day operations.”
